My Tacoma manual says oil change at 7500 intervals?

My Tacoma manual says oil change at 7500 intervals based on my driving conditions. That sound bit too long?
Funny story – My dealership recommended every 3k so I did as told and they were free oil changes. Soon after they said, ‘we are switching to every 7500 miles. When it is their $$ they dont suggest 3k changes.

yes most new cars with the new oils can go 5,000- 10,000 miles…jiffy lube ect will tell you 3,000 so they keep wasting you money
